Recap: Arizona vs. Atlanta

Phoenix, AZ (Sports Network) - Freddie Freeman went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI and Brian McCann added a two-run homer, as the Braves pounded the Diamondbacks, 9-1, in the second meeting of a four-game set.

Michael Bourn chipped in with two hits, a steal, a run scored and an RBI for the Braves, who have won four straight and nine of 10, including a 10-2 blowout in the opener of this series.

Brandon Beachy (2-1) continued his strong start to the season, allowing just four hits and one walk in 7 1/3 scoreless frames to earn the win. His ERA stands at 0.47.

"[The offense is] unbelievable, it's a luxury that, I mean, if they continue to hit near this well, we're going to do great things this year," Beachy said.

Arizona's Trevor Cahill (1-1) was tagged for seven runs -- four earned -- on seven hits and two walks over 5 2/3 innings. The Diamondbacks have dropped four in a row, the last three without sluggers Chris Young (shoulder) and Justin Upton (thumb).

"I was feeling pretty comfortable out there, it's just one of those things, like you make a bad pitch here or there, and they have a really good lineup and they're swinging the bats hot, so they'll make you pay every time," Cahill said.

Atlanta led 3-0 thanks to Freeman's RBI double in the third and McCann's two- run shot to right in the fifth -- then erupted for four more runs in the sixth.

Chipper Jones scored the inning's first run on Beachy's squeeze bunt, and Bourn followed with a run-scoring double to left. Beachy raced home on Martin Prado's sacrifice fly, and Freeman brought in Bourn with an opposite-field double into the left-field corner.

Beachy faced one over the minimum before the eighth, then was pulled with two on and one out. The Diamondbacks later loaded the bases, but Chad Durbin struck out A.J. Pollock to keep the hosts off the scoreboard.

The Braves pushed two more across in the ninth on Dan Uggla's RBI single and Jason Heyward's bases-loaded walk.

Aaron Hill scored on Paul Goldschmidt's fielder's choice groundout in the bottom half to spoil Atlanta's shutout bid.
