Recap: NY Mets vs. Miami

Flushing, NY (Sports Network) - David Wright became the Mets' all-time RBI leader with a go-ahead two-run homer in the sixth inning, as New York took down the Miami Marlins, 5-1 at Citi Field.

Lucas Duda went 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI, and Mike Baxter added a pinch-hit, two-run double for the Mets, who have taken the first two meetings of this three-game set on the heels a 1-5 stretch.

R.A. Dickey (3-1) held the Marlins to one run on three hits over seven innings, while Mark Buehrle (1-3) was again the hard-luck loser having allowed two runs on five hits in his seven-inning start.

Omar Infante homered for Miami, while Jose Reyes went 1-for-4 after going hitless in four-at bats in his return to New York on Tuesday.

Buehrle did not allow a runner into scoring position in his outing, but he plunked Kirk Nieuwenhuis leading off the sixth and later in the frame caught too much of the plate on an 0-2 pitch to Wright, who redirected the changeup over the center-field wall.

Wright's third home run of the season gave him 735 career RBI, surpassing Darryl Strawberry atop the Mets' all-time list.

"To have your name mentioned in the same breath with Straw, [Mike] Piazza and some of these guys is quite an honor," a humble Wright said.

As Buehrle sat on the bench in the eighth, the Mets found more breathing room with three insurance runs.

With runners on first and second and two outs, Duda hit a sharp single that ate up Giancarlo Stanton in right field. The error allowed Ruben Tejada to score -- ending Michael Dunn's relief appearance -- and Baxter greeted Ryan Webb with a slicer to left to plate Wright and Duda.

Manny Acosta recorded the final three outs in the ninth to close out the win.

"It seems that every night there's one extra hit, one extra mistake or something [else] that we can't execute and come out with a win," said Stanton, whose club has lost four straight.

Neither team had a runner reach past first base in the first four innings, but with one out in the fifth, Infante crushed a Dickey offering off the second- deck facing in left field for his fifth home run of the season.

Gaby Sanchez followed the blast with a double, but Dickey retired John Buck and Buehrle to keep it a 1-0 game.
