Recap: Detroit vs. Kansas City

Detroit, MI (Sports Network) - Monday's game between the Kansas City Royals and Detroit Tigers has been postponed due to rain.

This game was to be the opener of a three-game series, but the contest will be made up on September 24.

Luke Hochevar was supposed to make the start for Kansas City and was to be opposed by Duane Below, who was supposed to make his first start of the season, for the Tigers.

Hochevar will start Tuesday night's contest while Justin Verlander will toe the rubber for Detroit. Below will be sent back to the bullpen.
