Recap: Miami vs. Philadelphia

Miami, FL (Sports Network) - Giancarlo Stanton and Hanley Ramirez homered, Ricky Nolasco tossed seven solid innings and the Miami Marlins beat the Philadelphia Phillies, 5-2, to complete a three-game sweep.

Nolasco (7-6) gave up two runs on five hits for the Marlins, who recorded their first three-game sweep of the Phillies since August 7-9, 2009 at Citizens Bank Park. Nolasco had six strikeouts while picking up his first win since June 2 at Philadelphia.

"He's always been a better pitcher than people give him credit for," Phillies manager Charlie Manuel said. "I've seen him pitch good against us. He's tough and he's stingy. He don't like to give you too much. He knows how to pitch."

Omar Infante and John Buck had an RBI apiece for Miami, which went 5-4 on a nine-game homestand.

Joe Blanton (7-7) allowed three runs on six hits over six innings for the Phillies, who have dropped five straight. He struck out seven and walked two.

The Phillies got on the board in the first inning. Juan Pierre tripled down the right-field line and scored when Hunter Pence reached base on a fielder's choice.

But the Marlins scored two runs in the second and never looked back. Logan Morrison led off with a single, but was thrown out at third on Justin Ruggiano's base hit. Ruggiano advanced to second on a groundout and raced home on Infante's double to left. Buck followed with an RBI double to right to make it 2-1 Miami.

Stanton's solo homer to right in the third made it a two-run contest.

Philadelphia got the run back in the sixth. Pierre and Pence singled with one out, and moved up a base on a wild pitch. With two outs, Pierre scored on a wild pitch.

But Miami tacked on two insurance runs in the eighth. Antonio Bastardo walked Jose Reyes, who stole second and scored on Ramirez's homer to left.

"The biggest thing today, besides pitching, was the home run by Hanley," Marlins manager Ozzie Guillen said. "Hanley opened the game up a little bit and gave us some room for a mistake in the ninth. We've been waiting for that. We've been waiting for Hanley's big day."

Heath Bell tossed a perfect ninth for his 17th save of the season.
