Recap: Baltimore vs. Texas

Baltimore, MD (Sports Network) - Wednesday's game between the Texas Rangers and Baltimore Orioles has been postponed due to rain.

The contest will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Thursday, starting at 4:05 p.m. (et). It will mark the last two contests of this four-game series.

On Tuesday, Josh Hamilton produced one of the best single-game offensive performances in major league history, going 5-for-5 with a double, four homers, eight RBI and 18 total bases in Texas' 10-3 win.

Hamilton leads the majors with a .406 batting average, 14 homers and 36 RBI through Texas' first 30 games of 2012.

The Orioles have been outscored 24-6 over the first two contests. Going back to last season, Baltimore has allowed at least 10 runs five times to the Rangers.

Colby Lewis was slated to start Wednesday for the Rangers, while Wei-Yin Chen was scheduled as the Orioles starting pitcher. Those pitchers will go in the opener on Thursday. Derek Holland goes for Texas in the nightcap, while Tommy Hunter gets the ball for Baltimore.
