Recap: Philadelphia vs. NY Yankees

Clearwater, FL (Sports Network) - Cole Garner doubled and hit a two-run blast while scoring twice as the Yankees opened up their Grapefruit League slate with an 8-5 win over Philadelphia.

Zoilo Almonte also added two RBI and Curtis Granderson homered among his two hits for New York.

Manny Banuelos tossed two scoreless innings of relief for the win.

Hunter Pence and Kevin Frandsen each hit a two-run homer for the Phillies, while Dontrelle Willis was tagged with the loss after yielding a run on two hits on one relief frame.

Smith replaces Larson for Martinsville race

Regan Smith substituted for Kyle Larson in the No. 42 Chip Ganassi Racing Chevrolet in Sunday's Sprint Cup Series race at Martinsville Speedway after Larson was sidelined due to additional medical tests following his fainting spell on Saturday.
