Tampa, FL (Sports Network) - Alex Rodriguez went 3-for-3 with a homer, two RBI and two runs scored as the New York Yankees beat the Philadelphia Phillies, 7-4, in Grapefruit League play.

J.R. Murphy and Jose Gil both had an RBI and a run scored in the win for the Yankees. Starter Freddy Garcia was tagged for two runs on four hits in two innings.

Hunter Pence hit a two-run homer and Freddy Galvis added two hits and an RBI for the Phillies. Roy Halladay gave up a run and two hits over two innings in the start.

Baltimore Orioles reliever Brian Matusz became the second major league pitcher in three days to be ejected from a game for having a foreign substance on his arm.

Hawks' Korver out for postseason
