Recap: Chicago Cubs vs. Oakland

Mesa, AZ (Sports Network) - Yordy Cabrera cracked the go-ahead solo home run in the top of the ninth inning, sending the Oakland Athletics to an 8-7 victory over the Chicago Cubs in Cactus League action on Monday.

Seth Smith and Josh Reddick collected two hits apiece for the A's. Bartolo Colon was tabbed for the start and was roughed up for three runs on four hits in 2 2/3 innings. Travis Banwart locked down the win for Oakland with a scoreless bottom of the ninth.

Jeff Baker and Joe Mather each had two hits, while Blake DeWitt ripped a three-run bomb off Colon in the second inning for the Cubs.

Ryan Dempster started for Chicago and gave up one run on two hits in two innings.
