Recap: Philadelphia vs. Pittsburgh

Clearwater, FL (Sports Network) - Scott Podsednik hit a two-out solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning Tuesday to lift the Phillies to a 5-4 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates in spring training.

Podsednik finished 2-for-2, while Jim Thome and Placido Polanco added an RBI and a run scored apiece for the Phillies. Cliff Lee dealt six scoreless innings of three-hit ball with three strikeouts in the start.

Pittsburgh scored four runs in the eighth, led by RBI doubles from Eric Fryer and Casey McGehee. Starter Chris Resop allowed two runs on three hits over two innings of work.
