Recap: Kansas City vs. Oakland

Surprise, AZ (Sports Network) - Alex Gordon went 2-for-3 with an RBI as the Kansas City Royals knocked off the Oakland A's, 8-3, in Cactus League action on Wednesday.

Billy Butler, Jeff Francoeur, Lorenzo Cain, Max Ramirez, Eric Hosmer and Greg Golston all drove in runs for the Royals, while starter Luis Mendoza gave up no runs and three hits in his one inning.

Cedric Hunter smacked a solo home run, while Brandon Allen also drove in a run for the A's. Starter Graham Godfrey was tagged for three runs on six hits in three full frames.
