Recap: Washington vs. Houston

Viera, FL (Sports Network) - Edwin Jackson tossed four scoreless innings and Ryan Zimmerman hit a two-run homer to pace Washington's 8-0 decision over Houston in Grapefruit League play.

Mark Teahen also drove in a pair of runs and Eury Perez finished 2-for-4, while both Brett Carroll and Anthony Rendon scored twice for the Nats.

The DC denizens suffered no lapse in offense despite the absence of Bryce Harper due to left calf tightness. Harper is listed as day-to-day.

Livan Hernandez took the loss, charged with three hits, two runs and two walks while fanning a pair in 2 1/3 innings.
