Recap: NY Yankees vs. Houston

Tampa, FL (Sports Network) - George Springer broke a tie with an RBI double in the top of the ninth inning and scored the decisive run, as the Houston Astros edged the New York Yankees, 4-3, in Grapefruit League action.

After driving home Brian Bixler, Springer stole third base and crossed the plate on Scott Moore's grounder to first.

New York responded in the bottom of the frame with a two-out, RBI single by J.R. Murphy, but Jorge De Leon struck out Ramiro Pena swinging to end the game.

Kyle Weiland started on the mound for Houston and tossed four hitless innings.

Hiroki Kuroda gave up two hits and walked two in three scoreless frames for the Yankees.
