Lakeland, FL (Sports Network) - Jhonny Peralta smacked a two-run homer and drove in three as Detroit took a 4-2 decision over Houston in Grapefruit League action.

Alex Avila drove in the other run, while Tyler Collins added a pair of hits for the Tigers.

Doug Fister picked up the win by yielding just four hits one run with three walks over six innings. Jose Valverde earned his first save despite allowing a run in the ninth.

Jason Castro homered for the Astros, while Wandy Rodriguez gave up eight hits and three runs with five strikeouts and four walks in five frames.
