Recap: Tampa Bay vs. Pittsburgh

Port Charlotte, FL (Sports Network) - Chris Gimenez came through in the clutch with the game-winning two-run single in the bottom of the ninth inning as the Tampa Bay Rays pulled out a 4-3 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates in Grapefruit League action on Sunday.

Matt Mangini, Jose Molina and Reid Brignac had two hits apiece, while Evan Longoria and Brignac drove in runs for the Rays. Jeff Niemann started for Tampa Bay and worked three perfect frames while fanning two.

Pedro Alverez and Jake Fox blasted solo home runs for the Pirates, who also got hits from Alex Presley and Andrew McCutchen in the loss. Kevin Correia started for Pittsburgh and went three scoreless innings while giving up just two hits.
