Tampa, FL (Sports Network) - Alex Rodriguez had three RBI and Justin Maxwell knocked in a pair as the New York Yankees downed the Pittsburgh Pirates, 10-3, in Grapefruit League action.

Curtis Granderson went 2-for-2 with two walks and three runs scored for New York. Starter Michael Pineda allowed two runs on three hits and a walk through three innings, striking out five batters.

Erik Bedard was touched for four runs on five hits and three walks in 3 2/3 innings, while Jo-Jo Reyes allowed three runs on three hits and two walks without recording an out for Pittsburgh.

Andrew McCutchen's two-run homer and Neil Walker's RBI single accounted for the Pirates' offense.
