Recap: Pittsburgh vs. Detroit

Bradenton, FL (Sports Network) - Quintin Berry smacked a grand slam in a six- run ninth inning for Detroit as the Tigers defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates, 7-2, in spring training action.

Clete Thomas, Audy Ciriaco and Omir Santos each provided an RBI apiece for Detroit. Starter Doug Fister allowed two runs on four hits in 4 1/3 innings before exiting for precautionary reasons due to right middle finger soreness.

Jose Tabata had three hits for the Pirates, who got four shutout innings from starter Charlie Morton.
