Recap: Toronto vs. Pittsburgh

Dunedin, FL (Sports Network) - Nate McLouth's two-run homer in the eighth inning snapped a tie and sent Pittsburgh past Toronto, 3-1, in exhibition play.

Jose Tabata added a pair of hits and Matt Hague drove in the other run for the Pirates.

Jeff Karstens allowed four hits and one run over his four-inning start. Kris Johnson earned the win with two innings of scoreless relief.

Edwin Encarnacion went 2-for-3 and knocked in the lone run for the Blue Jays.

Brandon Morrow worked four scoreless innings, giving up two hits. Andrew Carpenter took the loss, after giving up the blast to McLouth.

Smith replaces Larson for Martinsville race

Regan Smith substituted for Kyle Larson in the No. 42 Chip Ganassi Racing Chevrolet in Sunday's Sprint Cup Series race at Martinsville Speedway after Larson was sidelined due to additional medical tests following his fainting spell on Saturday.
