Recap: San Diego vs. San Francisco

Peoria, AZ (Sports Network) - Madison Bumgarner struck out five batters while allowing two hits and a walk through three innings as the San Francisco Giants downed the San Diego Padres, 5-2, on Thursday.

Juan Perez hit a home run and Gregor Blanco had two hits and scored two runs for the Giants.

Edinson Volquez allowed one run on two hits in two innings for San Diego, which got homers from Kyle Blanks and James Darnell.
