Recap: Arizona vs. Kansas City

Scottsdale, AZ (Sports Network) - Alex Gordon led off the game with a homer off Trevor Cahill and the Royals scored three times in the seventh inning to grab a 6-5 win over Arizona on Saturday night.

Tyler Skaggs uncorked a wild pitch, allowing Johnny Giavotella to score the go-ahead run in the seventh. Jeff Francoeur added an RBI double and Mike Moustakas singled in the other run in the decisive frame.

Royals starter Jonathan Sanchez gave up six hits and three runs -- two earned -- and fanned six over 5 1/3 innings.

Cahill departed after striking out six over 4 2/3 frames.

Gerardo Parra and Paul Goldschmidt each had a pair of hits and an RBI in defeat.

Arizona scored twice in the eighth, but Jason Bourgeois threw home to cut down Archie Gilbert at the plate to end the inning.
