Recap: Arizona vs. San Diego

Scottsdale, AZ (Sports Network) - Nathan Freiman belted a three-run homer as the San Diego Padres downed the Arizona Diamondbacks, 8-0, in Cactus League action on Wednesday.

Chase Headley and Carlos Quentin ripped solo homers, while Blake Tekotte knocked two runs for the Padres. Joseph Wieland got the start and worked four clean innings while giving up just two hits.

Gerardo Parra and Matt Davidson each had doubles for the D-Backs, who finished 0-for-5 with runners in scoring position. Patrick Corbin got the starting nod and gave up three hits in three innings of work.
