Peoria, AZ (Sports Network) - Jeudy Valdez laced a two-run go-ahead RBI double in an eight-run seventh inning for San Diego as the Padres defeated the Los Angeles Angels, 8-7, in spring training action.

Tim Stauffer allowed five runs on 11 hits and two walks in a 2 2/3-inning start for the Padres.

Jean Segura hit two home runs and scored three runs for the Angels, who got 3 2/3 innings of one-hit ball from Brad Mills.
