Recap: Chicago Cubs vs. Seattle

Mesa, AZ (Sports Network) - Dustin Ackley hit a three-run homer and Guillermo Quiroz added a two-run shot as the Seattle Mariners topped the Chicago Cubs, 10-3, in Cactus League action on Thursday.

Miguel Olivo and Carlos Peguero had two hits each and Alex Liddi finished with a pair of RBI for the Mariners.

Kevin Millwood got the start for Seattle and gave up one run on four hits while striking out three over three innings.

Alfonso Soriano ripped a solo home run and Matt Tolbert also knocked in a run for the Cubs. Chris Volstad started for Chicago and threw three scoreless innings while giving up just one hit.

Smith replaces Larson for Martinsville race

Regan Smith substituted for Kyle Larson in the No. 42 Chip Ganassi Racing Chevrolet in Sunday's Sprint Cup Series race at Martinsville Speedway after Larson was sidelined due to additional medical tests following his fainting spell on Saturday.
