Recap: Minnesota vs. Baltimore

Fort Myers, FL (Sports Network) - Wilson Betemit and Trent Mummey each hit two-run homers to fuel Baltimore's 11-1 thrashing of Minnesota in Grapefruit League action.

Betemit's blast highlighted a 3-for-4 performance which included two runs scored. Nick Johnson and Ryan Flaherty also drove in two runs apiece, while Chris Davis added two hits, an RBI and crossed home twice for the Orioles.

Bruce Chen snagged the win, limiting the Twins to four hits and one run over five innings.

Carl Pavano was rocked in defeat for eight hits and six runs over four full frames. Joe Mauer doubled among his two hits and drove in a run in defeat.

Portland State and new coach Bruce Barnum will face two FBS opponents and five teams at home as part of an 11-game 2015 schedule announced on Thursday.

Vickers returns to racing at Las Vegas

In December, doctors discovered that his body was rejecting a patch that was surgically placed over a hole in his heart in 2010. The 31-year-old Vickers had corrective surgery that month, forcing him to miss the Feb. 22 season- opening Daytona 500 and last Sunday's race at Atlanta.
