Recap: Baltimore vs. Detroit

Sarasota, FL (Sports Network) - Tony Plagman's go-ahead two-run triple in the top of the ninth inning lifted the Detroit Tigers past the Baltimore Orioles, 6-4, in spring training action.

Plagman also smacked a solo homer in the seventh while Miguel Cabrera added two doubles and two RBI for Detroit. Starter Duane Below allowed three runs on three hits and four walks in 3 1/3 innings.

Adam Jones laced a solo homer and Endy Chavez had two hits and a run batted in for Baltimore. Starter Brian Matusz gave up three runs on five hits and one walk in five innings.

Tigers and Gamecocks collide in Death Valley

Archrivals will close out the regular season at Memorial Stadium on Saturday afternoon, as the South Carolina Gamecocks take a short trip west to play the 23rd-ranked Clemson Tigers at Memorial Stadium.
