Tampa, FL (Sports Network) - Francisco Cervelli hit a two-run home run and Hector Rabago also drove in two runs as the Yankees downed the Mets, 8-3, in the final exhibition contest for both teams.

Eduardo Sosa and Ramon Flores added an RBI each for the Bombers, who open up the regular season on Friday against the Rays.

Freddy Garcia allowed three runs and four hits while fanning four and walking two over 4 2/3 innings.

Ike Davis' three-run homer in the third inning was all the offense for New York's National League squad, which begins its regular season on Thursday by hosting Atlanta.

Dillon Gee worked five innings, giving up four hits and a run while striking out five.
