Lakeland, FL (Sports Network) - Quintin Berry hit a two-run triple in the seventh inning to help the Detroit Tigers beat the Toronto Blue Jays, 4-2, in Grapefruit League action.

Andy Dirks collected two hits and an RBI for the Tigers.

Detroit's Justin Verlander, the reigning American League MVP and Cy Young award winner, gave up one hit over two scoreless innings.

Edwin Encarnacion and Ryan Goins each drove in a run for Toronto.
