Recap: Boston vs. Northeastern

Fort Myers, FL (Sports Network) - Ryan Sweeney went 4-for-5 with a three-run home run, five RBI and three runs scored as Boston pounded Northeastern, 25-0, in preseason play.

Cody Ross hit a grand slam and a solo home run, Adrian Gonzalez hit a three- run shot while Che-Hsuan Lin drilled a two-run homer for the Red Sox, who got two innings of one-hit ball from starter Jon Lester.

Sam Berg suffered the loss for giving up two runs in the first inning for Northeastern. Ricky Salvucci had one of the three hits for the school.
