Port Charlotte, FL (Sports Network) - Delmon Young hit a three-run home run as the Detroit Tigers downed the Tampa Bay Rays, 8-1, on Thursday.

Audy Ciriaco added a two-run single, while Doug Fister allowed just one hit in a three-inning start for the Tigers.

Matt Mangini knocked in the lone run for Tampa Bay, which got two scoreless innings from David Price in which he allowed three hits, one walk and struck out one.

Baltimore Orioles reliever Brian Matusz became the second major league pitcher in three days to be ejected from a game for having a foreign substance on his arm.

Hawks' Korver out for postseason
