Recap: NY Mets vs. Atlanta

Port St. Lucie, FL (Sports Network) - David Ross stroked a two-run double in the top of the eighth inning to lift the Atlanta Braves to a 3-2 win over the New York Mets in Grapefruit League play.

One batter earlier, Matt Diaz put the Braves on the board with an RBI single.

Ross, Martin Prado, Jason Heyward and Luis Durango each had two hits for Atlanta.

Kris Medlen limited the Mets to one hit over four scoreless innings.

Daniel Murphy singled home both New York runs in the sixth, while Jon Niese gave up six hits over 5 1/3 scoreless frames.
