Recap: Washington vs. Atlanta

Viera, FL (Sports Network) - Ryan Zimmerman had a two-run home run and Brett Carroll later hit a bases-loaded triple and scored on a throwing error in a six-run sixth inning the Washington Nationals used to down the Atlanta Braves, 6-3, on Thursday.

Starter Edwin Jackson allowed one run on two hits through six innings for Washington.

Jason Heyward smacked a solo shot, while Braves starter Mike Minor gave up four runs on four hits and five walks in 5 1/3 innings.
