Jupiter, FL (Sports Network) - David Freese hit a three-run home run in the eighth inning, lifting the St. Louis Cardinals to a 4-2 win over the Miami Marlins in spring training action.

Matt Holliday had two hits and a run batted in for the Cardinals, who got four innings of one-hit ball from Adam Wainwright.

Carlos Zambrano struck out seven while allowing a run on four hits and one walk in a four-inning start for Miami. Clint Sammons had the lone RBI for the Marlins.
