Recap: Miami vs. Washington

Jupiter, FL (Sports Network) - Ricky Nolasco surrendered nine hits in 6 1/3 innings -- but just one run -- and the Marlins beat the Nationals, 3-1, in spring training on Tuesday.

Miami scored all of its runs off Washington starter and offseason acquisition Gio Gonzalez in the first inning. Gaby Sanchez hit an RBI single and Austin Kearns stroked a two-run double.

The Nationals, who out-hit the Marlins 11-8, got their only run in the sixth on Roger Bernadina's single.

Bill Elliott, a former Sprint Cup Series champion, and Wendell Scott, the first African-American to win a race in NASCAR's premier racing circuit, were among the sixth five-member class inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame on Friday night.
