Jupiter, FL (Sports Network) - Daniel Pertusati smacked a solo home run as the Miami Marlins downed the St. Louis Cardinals, 3-1, in Grapefruit League action.

Brett Hayes added a pair of hits and an RBI for the Marlins, while starter Anibal Sanchez allowed one run on two hits and a walk through five innings.

Carlos Beltran's solo shot accounted for the Cardinals' offense. Lance Lynn gave up one run on five hits and a walk in a five-inning start.
