Recap: Washington vs. St. Louis

Viera, FL (Sports Network) - Daniel Descalso smacked two doubles and drove in four runs as the St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Washington Nationals, 6-2, in spring training action.

Tony Cruz had three hits and a run scored for the Cardinals, who got 5 2/3 innings of one-run ball from starter Jake Westbrook.

Starter Stephen Strasburg allowed three runs -- two earned -- on five hits and one walk in four innings for Washington. Chad Tracy had two hits, including a solo home run.
