Recap: St. Louis vs. Washington

Jupiter, FL (Sports Network) - Mark Derosa's go-ahead single in the top of the ninth inning lifted the Washington Nationals to a 2-1 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals in spring training action.

Danny Espinosa, who scored the go-ahead run, had two hits and a solo home run for the Nationals. Starter Gio Gonzalez struck out seven in five innings. He allowed one run on three hits and one walk.

Carlos Beltran's double drove in the lone run for the Cardinals. Starter Jaime Garcia gave up one run on five hits in six innings.

Bill Elliott, a former Sprint Cup Series champion, and Wendell Scott, the first African-American to win a race in NASCAR's premier racing circuit, were among the sixth five-member class inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame on Friday night.
