Recap: Chicago WSox vs. Colorado

Glendale, AZ (Sports Network) - Drew Pomeranz pitched six scoreless innings to help the Colorado Rockies take a 3-1 win over the Chicago White Sox in spring training action.

Pomeranz gave up four hits with a walk and two strikeouts while Wil Nieves hit a solo home run for the Rockies. Chris Nelson had two hits and two RBI in the win.

John Danks fell to 0-4 in spring training as he gave up a run on three hits over six innings to take the loss for the White Sox. Adam Dunn's solo home run in the ninth inning kept Chicago from being blanked.

Game Notes

Mountain West teams have edge in early bowl matchups

The Mountain West Conference has struggled in bowl games the last two years with a 6-7 record both straight up and against the spread. However, five of those 13 games were against Pac-12 teams.
