Recap: Chicago Cubs vs. Cincinnati

Mesa, AZ (Sports Network) - Joe Mather hit a go-ahead three-run homer in the seventh inning to push the Cubs past the Reds, 8-6, in spring training.

Alfonso Soriano and Blake Lalli also homered for Chicago, while starter Paul Maholm lasted two innings and was charged with one run on two hits.

Reds starter Bronson Arroyo was touched for four runs on six hits in his two- inning outing. Todd Frazier belted a solo homer for Cincinnati, while Zack Cozart and Donald Lutz both drove in a pair in defeat.
