Recap: Kansas City vs. Cleveland

Surprise, FL (Sports Network) - Eric Hosmer belted a two-run homer in the first inning Sunday to spark the Kansas City Royals to a 6-4 win over the Cleveland Indians in spring training.

Alcides Escobar hit an RBI triple in the second inning and a run-scoring single in the fourth, keying two-run rallies in both innings for KC, which had 13 hits in the win.

Luke Hochevar pitched three-plus shutout innings and Jose Mijares added a scoreless frame for the Royals.

Asdrubal Cabrera had a two-run single for the Indians and starter Josh Tomlin gave up six runs on 10 hits in four innings.
