Recap: Chicago Cubs vs. Cleveland

Mesa, AZ (Sports Network) - Jeff Samardzija tossed six scoreless innings, striking out five with allowing three hits and one walk, as the Cubs blanked the Reds, 2-0, in spring training.

Bryan LaHair and Joe Mather knocked in Chicago's runs on back-to-back singles in the sixth. Ian Stewart went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored in the win.

Josh Tomlin was tagged for both runs on nine hits in 5 2/3 innings. He struck out six in defeat.
