Recap: Kansas City vs. Colorado

Surprise, AZ (Sports Network) - Billy Butler launched a two-run homer to help Kansas City take down Colorado, 5-2, in Cactus League action.

Butler was 2-for-3 with a double and Alex Gordon and Alcides Escobar each batted in runs for the Royals, who received four innings of scoreless ball from starter Luis Mendoza. Mendoza gave up two hits and struck out three while walking none.

Jhoulys Chacin gave up one run in three innings for the Rockies. Brandon Wood tripled in a run and Wilkin Castillo had an RBI groundout in defeat.
