Recap: Kansas City vs. Milwaukee

Surprise, AZ (Sports Network) - Chris Getz collected two hits and drove in three runs as Kansas City ripped Milwaukee, 9-4, in Cactus League action.

Alex Gordon added two hits and two RBI, while Lorenzo Cain hit safely twice and scored a pair of runs for the Royals.

Luis Mendoza allowed two hits and a single run while fanning seven over 4 2/3 innings for the win.

Corey Patterson homered among his two hits and scored twice for the Brewers. Yovani Gallardo served up five hits and four runs over his three-inning start.

JR Motorsports set for Truck Series debut at Martinsville

Custer, the 17-year-old son of Stewart-Haas Racing executive vice president Joe Custer, is scheduled to make his season debut in trucks after competing in nine races in the series last year. He became the youngest driver ever to win a NASCAR national touring series race by taking the checkered flag for truck event last September at New Hampshire. Custer is also the youngest pole winner in trucks, accomplishing the feat this past June at Gateway Motorsports Park.

White Sox claim Drabek off waivers

The Chicago White Sox claimed right-hander Kyle Drabek, a former top pitching prospect, off waivers from the Toronto Blue Jays on Friday.

Durant to have bone graft surgery, won't return this season

Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant won't return this season because of a foot injury and will instead undergo a bone graft procedure that will keep him sidelined for up to six months.
