Recap: Texas vs. Kansas City

Surprise, AZ (Sports Network) - Billy Butler hit a two-run home run in the first inning to lift the Kansas City Royals to a 6-1 win over the Texas Rangers.

Lorenzo Cain added two hits and a run scored while Johnny Giavotella scored twice in the win for the Royals. Luis Mendoza (1-0) earned the win for pitching two scoreless innings in the start.

Mitch Moreland's solo home run in the fifth inning accounted for all the offense for the Rangers. Colby Lewis (0-1) got the loss as he gave up the Butler home run and three hits over two innings.

Larson hospitalized after fainting at autograph session

Sprint Cup Series driver Kyle Larson was taken to a hospital for precautionary reasons after he fainted during an autograph session at Martinsville Speedway on Saturday.
