Recap: San Francisco vs. Oakland

San Francisco, CA (Sports Network) - Josh Donaldson hit two home runs and Oakland routed San Francisco, 8-1, in spring training play Wednesday.

Donaldson finished 4-for-5 with 5 runs batted in and three runs scored, Kila Ka'aihue also scored three times and Jonny Gomes hit a solo homer for the Athletics, who will resume the regular season on Friday when they host the Mariners.

Giants starter Yusmeiro Petit was tagged for six runs on seven hits, including the three home runs, over 3 1/3 innings. Buster Posey knocked in Pablo Sandoval for San Francisco's lone run. The Giants begin the regular season in Arizona on Friday.
