Recap: Chicago Cubs vs. Texas

Las Vegas, NV (Sports Network) - Joe Mather belted a go-ahead solo homer in the top of the ninth inning Sunday as the Chicago Cubs rallied for a 3-2 win over the Texas Rangers in spring training.

Mather's shot, with one out against Sean Green, came after Ryan Strausborger hit an RBI single in the eighth inning to tie the game for the Rangers.

Cubs starter Chris Volstad went four innings, giving up one run on four hits with three strikeouts, and Rafael Dolis stranded a runner at third base in the ninth inning to seal Chicago's win.

Rangers starter Matt Harrison struck out five and gave up one run on one hit and a walk in five innings.

Jones looking to win Truck Series race at Dover
