Recap: Milwaukee vs. Chicago Cubs

Maryvale, AZ (Sports Network) - Starlin Castro cracked a solo homer as the Chicago Cubs downed the Milwaukee Brewers, 6-1, in Cactus League action on Saturday.

Blake DeWitt and Ian Stewart added two hits apiece, while Darwin Barney, Matt Szczur, Joe Mather and Alfredo Amezaga all knocked in runs for Chicago. Ryan Dempster (1-0) started for the Cubs and threw three scoreless innings while yielding just two hits.

Logan Schafer went 3-for-3 with a double and a triple, while Alex Gonzalez hit a solo home run for the Brewers. Chris Narveson (0-1) got the starting nod and gave up one run on two hits in 3 2/3 innings of work.
