Recap: Miami vs. Philadelphia

Miami, FL (Sports Network) - Kevin Frandsen drove in what proved to be the game-winning run in the first inning as the Philadelphia Phillies took a 2-1 win over the Miami Marlins in the second of a three-game set.

Darin Ruf brought in the other run for the Phillies, who snapped a five-game skid.

Zach Miner pitched four innings in the start and gave up a run on four hits. Michael Stutes (3-1) pitched a 1-2-3 fifth to get the win. Jonathan Papelbon earned his 29th save with a scoreless ninth.

"I'm very grateful for the opportunity the Phillies are giving me. I get to start. It's great. If I was throwing the seventh or eighth or mopping up, I'd have fun doing that, too," Miner said.

Justin Ruggiano drove in the lone run of the game for the Marlins, who had won two of three coming in. Henderson Alvarez (4-6) gave up two runs on five hits over seven innings to take the loss.

The loss gave the Marlins their 100th of the season.

"I was trying to come up with something clever to say, when you lose your 100th game of the season," Marlins manager Mike Redmond said.

The Phillies got their only runs of the game in the first inning. With one out, Jimmy Rollins doubled while Chase Utley and Domonic Brown walked to load the bases. Ruf then worked a walk to bring home one run and Frandsen followed with a groundout for a 2-0 lead.

Miami got a run back in the second as Giancarlo Stanton led off with a single and scored on Ruggiano's double. Ruggiano was nailed at third trying to stretch the hit into a triple.

The Marlins left men on base in each inning except for the first, fifth and seventh.
