Recap: Toronto vs. Chicago WSox

Toronto, ON (Sports Network) - R.A. Dickey tossed six scoreless innings and Rajai Davis went 2-for-4 with an RBI double and a run scored as the Toronto Blue Jays edged the Chicago White Sox, 3-1, in the final test of a four-game set at Rogers Centre.

Dickey (2-2) struck out seven while giving up just two hits and one walk to earn the win. Casey Janssen worked a perfect ninth to earn his fifth save of the season.

Dickey, though, exited with muscle tightness.

"I had a knuckleball tonight where I would have thrown a complete game," Dickey said. "So it was unfortunate that (the injury) acted up on me."

Edwin Encarnacion and Munenori Kawasaki also added one RBI apiece for the Blue Jays, who improved to 7-9 this season.

Tyler Flowers drove in the lone run for the White Sox, who saw starter Chris Sale (1-2) give up three runs -- two earned -- on four hits over seven innings. Sale, who has lost his past two decisions, struck out six and walked just one batter.

"He threw fine, gave up a couple hits here and there, but stuff-wise he was good," White Sox manager Robin Ventura said of Sale.

Toronto jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning. Davis singled before stealing both second and third base. Encarnacion then ripped a single to left field to score Davis easily.

The Blue Jays added two more runs in the fifth to take a 3-0 lead. Emilio Bonifacio was hit by a pitch to open the frame, then moved to third after Sale's pickoff attempt got past first baseman Adam Dunn. Bonifacio scored on Dunn's fielding error on a Kawasaki grounder. Davis followed with a double to center to score Kawasaki without a throw.

The White Sox finally got on the board in the eighth inning. Alexei Ramirez singled before scoring on Flowers' two-out double to center field. Flowers narrowly missed a homer, lacing the ball off the top of the fence. Reliever Aaron Loup was able to get Dewayne Wise to ground out to end the inning.
