Recap: Detroit vs. Toronto

Detroit, MI (Sports Network) - Prince Fielder had two hits and four RBI in the Detroit Tigers' 11-1 rout of the Toronto Blue Jays in the rubber match of a three-game set.

Torii Hunter added two hits, three RBI and a pair of runs scored for the Tigers, who have won four of their last six contests.

Doug Fister (2-0) struck out five and surrendered a run on eight hits and a walk over eight innings in the win.

Josh Johnson (0-1) was shelled for six runs on seven hits and two walks in just 1 1/3 innings for Toronto, which has dropped three of its last four tilts.

The game was tied at 1-1 before the Tigers erupted for five runs in the second and added four more in the fifth.

Jhonny Peralta, Alex Avila began the frame with back-to-back singles to put runners on the corners before Omar Infante brought Peralta home with a sacrifice fly to left. Avila crossed the plate on Austin Jackson's base hit to right-center. Jackson, who advanced to second on the throw home, was pushed across when Hunter snuck a grounder through the hole on the right side. After Miguel Cabrera belted a triple into the gap to plate Hunter, he scored on Fielder's single to left-center.

Hunter snuck a two-run single through the hole on the right side and Fielder laced a two-run double in the fifth to make it 10-1.

Fielder's sacrifice fly to left in the seventh upped the margin to 11-1.

Earlier, Victor Martinez's run-scoring single in the first got Detroit on the board before Mark DeRosa's sacrifice fly to right in the visitor's second knotted the contest.

Game Notes

The red-hot Fielder is 9-for-19 with 13 RBI over his last six games ... Jackson registered three hits and three runs ... The Tigers were 7-for-16 with runners in scoring position.
