Recap: Los Angeles vs. LA Angels

Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - A.J. Ellis' grand slam in the first inning helped the Los Angeles Dodgers take a 9-8 win over the Los Angeles Angels in preseason action on Friday.

Luis Cruz went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored while Matt Kemp had an RBI and scored twice for the Dodgers. Josh Beckett was tagged for seven runs on nine hits with five strikeouts in four innings.

Mike Trout hit a three-run home run and Alberto Callaspo added a two-run shot for the Angels. Jason Vargas didn't make it out of the second inning as he gave up eight runs on seven hits with a pair of walks.

These same teams will meet Saturday night in Anaheim to end the preseason.

Winston cleared of FSU conduct violations

Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston was found not to have violated the university's conduct code over allegations that he sexually assaulted a fellow student in December 2012.
