Tempe, AZ (Sports Network) - Josh Hamilton hit his first home run with his new team and the Angels exploded for seven runs in the third inning to beat the Dodgers, 16-8, in spring training play.

Peter Bourjos had a three-run triple to highlight the big inning. Matt Young added a three-run triple in the seventh frame.

Jered Weaver allowed two hits and fanned a pair of batters in his 2013 spring training debut.

Hamilton's two-run shot came off Hyun-Jim Ryu in the first inning.

Rusty Ryal homered for the Dodgers.

Ryu allowed four hits and a pair of runs while fanning three over two innings. Matt Palmer was touched for five hits and seven unearned runs over two-thirds of an inning.
